About the Artist
Berdell Elizabeth Moffett-Chaney is a licensed, ordained minister with the Portland Center for Spiritual Growth in Portland, Oregon. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but raised primarily in Thailand, Laos and the Phillipines as the daughter of a Marine Corps Colonel. She studied for her Master's in Sociology at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, and earned her ministry license in Portland, Oregon in 1992.
Berdell has been married to Casey Moffett-Chaney since 1983. They have one son, Corey, now educated, employed, and living on his own. She began painting professionally in 1995, and has been featured in several Portland galleries.
